NIKE are to stop selling their sportswear directly on Amazon to focus on "more direct, personal relationships" with customers.
The mega sports brand?s products had originally appeared on the website as part of a pilot program that began in 2017 to "create new ways to serve consumers".
The decision comes as Nike makes changes to its retail strategy under former eBay CEO John Donahoe, who takes over from departing Nike CEO Mark Parker on January 13, 2020.
Nike said in a statement to Bloomberg: ?As part of Nike?s focus on elevating consumer experiences through more direct, personal relationships, we have made the decision to complete our current pilot with Amazon Retail. We will continue to invest in strong, distinctive partnerships for Nike with other retailers and platforms to seamlessly serve our consumers globally,?
